A Brief History
After a few other avenues of work in the Salt Lake City area, Mahan Khalsa took up sandblasting in the early 80's. He tackled a wide variety of jobs both in-shop and on-site throughout Utah, eventually moving into Ameri-Pride's current location at 1867 South 900 West in the early 90's. As his well recognized beard grew bigger, his reputation for high quality work became more and more well known. Ameri-Pride has done sandblasting work for many of the buildings in downtown Salt Lake such as the Squatters Brew Pub and the Triad Center. Many mining, manufacturing, machining, fabrication, woodworking, cabinet, tile, concrete and stone companies have been bringing their work to Ameri-Pride for 10-15+ years because of the outstanding quality and prices. Eventually Ameri-Pride stopped offering mobile sandblasting services and put focus on maintaining the reputation for great work and speedy turn-around times that they created with in-shop services. Years and years of experience, trial-and-error, and experimentation have made Ameri-Pride the premier commercial & specialty surface preparation company that it is today.
